Immunohistochemical analysis of cytokeratin 7 and 20 expression in colorectal carcinoma and its correlation with histopathological grading of tumour

Background: Colorectal carcinoma is a malignant epithelial tumor originating in the large bowel. More than 90% of colorectal carcinomas (CRC) are adenocarcinomas. This being graded morphologically at H&E stain histopathology as well-differentiated, moderately differentiated, and poorly differentiated. Aims Objectives: The aim this study to assess any association with different histopathological types extent differentiation CRC change expression CK 7 Cytokeratin 20 (CK20). Materials Methods: In present study, total 59 patients has been selected by predetermined sampling techniques. specimen was collected necessary processing done for immunohistochemistry profile. Results: showed that most well-differentiated CK20 (+ve)/Cytokeratin (CK7) (-ve) differentiated (+) and/CK7 also (−ve)/CK7 (+ve). Conclusion: Hence, from it evident positivity decreasing CK7 increasing respect progression well carcinoma, is, there relationship profile histological grading carcinoma. Furthermore, may be helpful while searching unknown primary cases metastatic deposit.
